Unemployment Compensation (For Furloughed Employees)
It is possible that furloughed employees may become eligible for unemployment compensation.

Employee should check with their applicable state Unemployment Insurance office to determine their rules and requirements, including when an individual may first file for benefits.

In order to apply for unemployment compensation, employees will need the SF-8 (Notice to Federal Employee About Unemployment Insurance.)
